Chirality-driven delocalization in disordered waveguide-coupled quantum arrays

چکیده
We study theoretically the competition between directional asymmetric coupling and disorder in a one-dimensional array of quantum emitters chirally coupled through waveguide mode. Our calculation reveals highly nontrivial phase diagram for eigenstates' spatial profile, nonmonotonously depending on directionality strength. The increase asymmetry drives transition from Anderson localization bulk delocalized states to chirality-induced at edge. Counterintuitively, this is not smeared by strong but becomes sharper instead. findings could be important rapidly developing field electrodynamics, where chiral interactions play crucial roles.

Quantum chaos, delocalization, and entanglement in disordered Heisenberg models.
We investigate disordered one- and two-dimensional Heisenberg spin lattices across the transition from integrability to quantum chaos from both statistical many-body and quantum-information perspectives. Special emphasis is devoted to quantitatively exploring the interplay between eigenvector statistics, delocalization, and entanglement in the presence of nontrivial symmetries. The implication ...
متن کاملOptical Chirality Enhancement in Twisted Arrays of Plasmonic Nano-rods
An important property of electromagnetic fields, which arises from the interaction between fields and chiral molecules, is called optical chirality. By enhancing this field property, while maintaining constant input power, we are able to increase absorption of circularly polarized light by chiral molecules of a certain handedness. This enhancement is achieved through the use of achiral plasmoni...
متن کاملWavefunction delocalization in quantum dot arrays: an asymptotic analysis
Intermediate-band solar cells using quantum dot arrays (QDAs) are theoretically predicted to significantly increase the efficiency with which solar energy can be harvested. In the limit of identical quantum dots, the wavefunction for electrons in a QDA will be fully delocalized. Fully delocalized wavefunctions have been theoretically shown to reduce thermal losses and consequently increase phot...
متن کاملConductance in quantum wires by three quantum dots arrays
A noninteracting quantum-dot arrays side coupled to a quantum wire is studied. Transport through the quantum wire is investigated by using a noninteracting Anderson tunneling Hamiltonian. The conductance at zero temperature develops an oscillating band with resonances and antiresonances due to constructive and destructive interference in the ballistic channel, respectively. Moreover, we have fo...
